Task Force Director of Housekeeping Matthew Sanscrainte Hospitality Group (MSHG) Travel Required: Up to 80% ⸻ Position Overview Matthew Sanscrainte Hospitality Group (MSHG) is seeking a highly disciplined, detail-obsessed, and execution-driven Task Force Director of Housekeeping to lead and transform housekeeping operations across distressed hotel and resort assets nationwide. This is not a traditional housekeeping role—this is a turnaround leadership position. You will be deployed into underperforming properties to rebuild systems, enforce standards, retrain teams, and restore cleanliness scores, operational flow, and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate thrives in high-pressure environments, understands the science of housekeeping operations, and delivers measurable results with precision and speed. ⸻ Key Responsibilities Operational Turnaround & Leadership • Assume full leadership of housekeeping departments in distressed or failing hotel environments • Diagnose operational breakdowns including staffing inefficiencies, inventory shortages, poor cleanliness standards, and workflow failures • Implement structured SOPs aligned with MSHG’s operational playbooks and brand standards • Rebuild department culture focused on accountability, efficiency, and pride in execution • Stabilize operations within accelerated timelines (30–90 days) ⸻ Standards, Quality & Guest Experience • Enforce brand-level cleanliness standards across all guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas • Improve SALT, OSAT, and cleanliness scores through disciplined execution and inspection routines • Conduct daily room inspections, deep audits, and corrective training • Establish finishing-touch standards (room presentation, scent, staging, amenity placement) • Drive consistency across all shifts and team members ⸻ Staffing, Training & Performance Management • Recruit, onboard, and train housekeeping staff in alignment with MSHG standards • Set productivity benchmarks (e.g., MPOR targets, rooms per attendant) and enforce accountability • Lead daily stand-up meetings, shift briefings, and performance reviews • Address performance issues swiftly, including coaching, retraining, or disciplinary action • Develop supervisors and managers to ensure long-term sustainability post-deployment ⸻ Inventory, Linen & Cost Control • Establish and maintain proper linen pars (minimum 2–3 turns preferred) • Implement inventory controls for chemicals, supplies, and amenities • Eliminate waste, loss, and misuse of resources • Coordinate with laundry operations to ensure consistent throughput and quality • Drive cost efficiencies without compromising cleanliness standards ⸻ Cross-Departmental Coordination • Partner with Front Office to ensure accurate room status (VR/VD integrity) and eliminate room discrepancies • Coordinate with Engineering to prevent operational disruptions impacting room readiness • Support Sales and Operations teams in maintaining presentation standards for VIPs and group arrivals • Align with leadership to ensure seamless guest experience execution ⸻ Task Force Deployment (80% Travel) • Travel nationwide to support MSHG client properties in crisis or transition • Execute rapid-entry housekeeping assessments within 24–72 hours • Deliver detailed operational audits, staffing plans, and turnaround strategies • Remain on-site until performance metrics and operational stability are achieved

Requirements

Qualifications • Minimum 5–10+ years of housekeeping leadership experience (Director level preferred) • Proven success in hotel or resort housekeeping operations, including distressed or high-volume environments • Strong understanding of brand standards (Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, IHG, Choice) • Expertise in labor management, MPOR calculations, and productivity optimization • Experience with inventory control, linen management, and chemical usage protocols • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time without restriction • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational discipline • Strong leadership presence with the ability to rebuild teams quickly • Proficiency in hotel systems and reporting tools (e.g., Opera, OnQ, HotSOS, etc.) ⸻ What Sets This Role Apart This is a frontline leadership role in the most critical environments.
